IMO slotted holes in the exhaust flanges looks cheap. Slotting the holes requires the installer to be even more careful, or the exhaust can be really far off and/or cause leaks. When we want to mate emission parts, it is normally for a test and we typically use smaller hardware for the quick test. For testing stock mid pipes that still have studs, we only use the two studs at the rear and it is fine for the test. The front goes on easy with full size bolts.:so that it matches stock bolt spacing? Mating it up to stock parts for emissions testing etc is tough. :Or matching 3" SZ test pipes to a 3" B&B cat back for example.
